A Little About Me
My name is Keagan Donovan, I am an upcoming sophomore attending NC State University in the pursual of a Mechanical Engineering degree. I am a strong student finishing my freshman year with a 3.75 GPA with a multitude of advanced STEM classes in my pocket. I am very dedicated and committed to completing every task to the best of my abilities and I love motivating my friends to do their best as well. My goal, career-wise, is to major and find a career in the field of automation - specifically renewable automation. It is my goal to one day develop and/or innovate a piece of machinery which ultimately decreases the degree of carbon emissions pushed out my factories. I believe that everyone has the potential to do something amazing, it just depends on who’s willing to work for it.
At NC State University I am involved in SolarPack which is a club that develops and constructs a renewable energy-fueled vehicle which is then tested and competes in a national race. I've learned to weld, metal cut, and wood work so far.
I was also a very active member of my high school and was involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. At my high school, I was involved in a range of clubs: including, Spanish Honor Society, Key Club, DECA, National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, and Leadership Academy. I was also a highly dedicated athlete in track and field and even broke 2 minutes in the 800-meter run. I ran the 800-meter, 1600-meter, and 400-meter as my main events. I see myself as a very motivated person on and off the field; I always strive for something more, something greater.
